Orleton has launched in West End, introducing 155 two- and three-bedroom apartments fronting Davies Park and the Brisbane River as the first building in a larger three-stage development.

The 18-storey project forms the first part of Davies Place, a masterplan that will eventually comprise three buildings. Its position is a major part of the development, with the site facing six hectares of green space at Davies Park and offering views towards the river, city and mountains beyond.

The launch was marked in August with the opening of a new sales display in West End. Traders In Purple is behind the project, with Rothelowman responsible for the architecture and Urbis handling the landscaping.
A Rooftop Overlooking The River

The rooftop will include a range of shared facilities, including a planned 20-metre infinity-edge pool overlooking the river and city, hot and cold plunge pools, a yoga lawn, gym, wellness room, dining pavilion, cocktail lawn and residents’ lawn with barbecue and seating areas.
The wider masterplan includes a new pedestrian laneway planned to run between Orleton and the later stages of Davies Place, linking Montague Road and Vulture Street with Davies Park and the river.
The development’s relationship with Davies Park is central to the project, with the official material describing Orleton as a collection of residences fronting the park and Brisbane River.
Design Draws On Local History

The name Orleton has a historical connection to the area. Traders In Purple says John Davies, after whom Davies Park was named, lived in a Granville Street home called Orleton, a reference to his hometown in England. The developer says that history has been referenced in the architecture of Orleton.
Rothelowman principal Jeff Brown said the design process considered how people had lived in West End in the past as well as how the suburb functions today.
The development is being marketed as a luxury apartment project. At the time of the launch, two-bedroom apartments were priced from $1.57 million, while three-bedroom designs started from $2.6 million.
Orleton is now selling, with the sales display at 6 Pidgeon Close, West End, with entry via 305 Montague Road.
