A low-rise pocket of West End could make way for a 13-storey apartment tower, with plans lodged for 113 apartments across Wolfe and Greet streets.
The proposal covers 5 Wolfe Street and 6–8 Greet Street, where one and two-storey commercial and industrial buildings currently occupy the 1,943-square-metre site.
Furtado Property is behind the project, with MAS Architecture designing the building. The plans provide for 92 two-bedroom apartments and 21 three-bedroom apartments, with two basement levels beneath the tower.

Another Residential Proposal for West End
The site sits within a part of West End already surrounded by medium and higher-density housing.
Development material identifies apartment buildings of between six and 13 storeys nearby, while other residential projects are under construction around the Wolfe Street, Greet Street and Beesley Street area.
The proposed building would introduce another residential tower into that streetscape, with its main frontage and vehicle access connected to Wolfe Street and a separate vehicle exit proposed on Greet Street.

Architectural material for the project draws on West End’s industrial past, particularly the brick and masonry associated with the area’s earlier manufacturing character. Red masonry, terracotta-toned elements, glazing and planted sections feature throughout the design.
Rooftop and Greenery Included in Plans
Landscaping is proposed from the ground floor through to the upper levels, including planter terraces incorporated into the building.
The plans provide 230 square metres of landscaping at ground level, including 78 square metres of deep planting, along with rooftop planting and greenery extending through the residential levels.

Residents would also have access to rooftop facilities including a gym, indoor and outdoor dining spaces, a plunge pool, a court and shared barbecue areas.
Parking across the two basement levels would include 116 car spaces, five motorcycle spaces and 142 bicycle spaces.
Public Notification Ahead
The West End tower proposal is currently listed as an impact-assessable development application and remains in progress.
Public-notification dates have not yet been listed. Once that stage begins, submissions supporting or objecting to the proposal can be made during the nominated notification period.
